Ridge Cap Shingles

Many roof designs also have sloped ridges (hips) where roof planes meet an angle. Ridge cap shingles are used in these locations to provide a complete water-shedding system starting right where raindrops first meet your shingles. Using IKO Ridge Cap Shingles or an IKO-approved equivalent is required to meet the terms of the IKO Limited Warranty.

IKO Hip Ridge 12

This imperial-sized shingle is perforated and tapered into 3 equal pieces. Available in the widest array of colors to match any IKO shingle, Hip Ridge 12 installs easily by simply bending and nailing in place. Bonus tip: double stack the shingle pieces to provide a visually thicker ridgeline.


If you desire a high-profile ridge cap to match your premium IKO roof, you should definitely consider Ultra HP. Pre-formed in a ridge cap shape, Ultra HP boldly frames your roof with depth and texture. Take a look at some actual Ultra HP shingles to see the remarkable ‘high profile’ difference.

IKO Hip Ridge Plus 

This shingle is perforated and tapered into 3 equal pieces. Available in the widest array of colors to match any IKO shingle, it installs easily by simply bending and nailing in place. As an optional feature, merely double stack the shingle pieces to provide a visually thicker ridgeline.


Starter Course

The lower edge of any roof is one of the most critical areas for overall roof performance and wind resistance. Installed below the first row of shingles along the eaves, gabble and valley of the roof, starters literally get your roof started in the right direction with leading-edge protection.

Start your roof installation with one of IKO’s premium roof starters to get the best performance from your IKO roof! With the proper roof starter shingle, you can ensure your roof system is installed in compliance with one of the requirements for the high wind resistance limited warranty.   

IKO Leading Edge

You will need a starter shingle. Leading Edge Plus is the ideal product to use. Its efficient use of material provides two pieces from every strip, easily separated along a factory-perforated line. IKO’s high-strength thermally activated sealant is on every strip, helping ensure wind resistance at that critical first course.

IKO Armour Starter

If you have selected IKO’s Armourshake shingles for your roof, you may choose to use IKO Armour Starter. Used in conjunction with our standard Leading Edge Plus starter, Armour Starter provides extra thickness and protection between the first course of Armourshake, ensuring a beautiful roof appearance from bottom to top.


Low Slope Application

Low-slope roofs present special challenges in terms of preventing unique types of damage. Luckily, IKO’s Roof-Fast low-slope roofing components are designed to meet those particular challenges.

IKO Roof-Fast 95

A self-adhesive product, IKO Roof-Fast 95 can easily be applied on low-slope roofs. They’re constructed of a durable, inorganic reinforcing mat of nonwoven glass fibers that have been coated and permeated with Modiflex SBS bitumen to a thickness of approximately 2.0mm.

IKO Roof-Fast Cap

IKO Roof-Fast Cap sheets are ideal for any new or re-roofing low-slope residential project. These self-adhesive sheets have a special release film on the back for easy installation. They can be used alone or in combination with Roof-Fast Base sheets. Their attractive, durable, granule finish.

IKO Roof-Fast Base

IKO Roof-Fast Base MA is a fiberglass-reinforced base with a special film surface designed to be used as one of IKO’s Roof-Fast Low-slope Roofing Components. In combination with IKO Roof-Fast Cap sheets, it provides waterproofing properties and durability for low-slope roofs.


Ice and Water Protection

Water is a home's greatest enemy. And roofing shingles are the first line of defense. With IKO's Ice and Water protectors, they provide crucial added shield as part of IKO’s PRO 4 Roofing Components for total weather protection. IKO is a vertically integrated manufacturer that maintains strict quality control over the materials that go into their roofing products.

IKO ArmourGuard

ArmourGard is a modified bitumen roll roofing product that is applied as a protective layer under shingled roofs. This coating prevents water seepage caused by ice dams or wind-driven rain. ArmourGard can also be used as an underlayment around roof-top structures or apertures such as chimneys, dormers and skylights, to name a few. It can also be applied as an exterior vapor barrier for foundations and basements.

IKO Storm Shield

StormShield™ is an economical, modified bitumen roll roofing product that protects critical roof areas that are most susceptible to water leakage caused by ice dams and wind-driven rain. When properly applied, this self-adhesive membrane creates a watertight seal, and its tear-resistant properties ensure that it will protect against potential ice and water damage for the long term.


Synthetic Underlay

Ensure a properly installed asphalt roofing system with IKO Synthetic Underlay. This secondary protective layer work​s with all IKO shingle products to secure additional moisture barrier. Choose among IKO's synthetic underlay products to give your roof that second layer of protection and give yourself peace of mind.

IKO RoofGard-Cool Grey

IKO's original synthetic underlay product, RoofGard-Cool Grey, helped pioneer the synthetic underlay market. From decades of manufacturing traditional underlay a material strong and reliable enough to be the foundation for today's shingle installation.

IKO Stormtite

Stormtite is an economical synthetic underlayment option of IKO. Their lightweight composition and anti-slip surface allows them to be easily installed even during the cool weather.

Roll Roofing

IKO AM No.15 Felt

A dependable roof waterproofing protection, the AM No. 15 Felt is made of a resilient, heavy-duty cellulose fiber mat that has been saturated with premium waterproofing bitumen. The mixture results in a superior building material used as residential roofing underlayment.

IKO Heavy Duty Felt

This heavy-duty waterproofing solution consists of a hefty, flexible, and high-strength cellulose fiber mat that has been saturated with premium waterproofing bitumen to be used primarily as residential roofing underlayment.

IKO SBS Deckbase 44

Noticeably Tough Yet Impressively Flexible IKO SBS DeckBase 44 is an SBS modified bitumen rolelasticityl roofing product. The inner membranes of the roll consist of a tough, non-woven, glass fiber mat, which has been impregnated and coated with a specially formulated modified bitumen – designed to provide exceptionality.
